Right now Gmail is telling me that I have 777 unread e-mails in my inbox. Well, “unread” is a relative term, because a lot of those are e-mails I’ve opened, skimmed through, and then marked as unread because I intend to get back to them eventually (yeah, right).
Anyways, I’m blogging because 777 is one of the key, symbolic numbers of completeness in the Bible. Ok, apparently I can find that number only once in the Bible, but I’m pretty sure it’s spelled out somewhere in Revelation, too.
But to me, 777 “unread” e-mails symbolizes my losing battle with keeping up with life.

well, i’m glad that at least it’s not 666. that’s the # in revelations 13.
i think tab would have a fit seeing 777 unread emails in her inbox. i recall her saying that she archives EVERYTHING and her inbox is nice a short- i’ve seen maybe even one page short.
maybe it’s time to evaluate your ways of communicating? cause if there are so many emails uncompleted, then maybe it’s not the best way to do things for you? just throwing out a thought.

“But to me, 777 ‘unread’ e-mails symbolizes my losing battle with keeping up with life.”
Do you want to do something about it then? Or do you feel ‘okay’ about it? (I have a funny feeling it’s the latter)
I also agree with Sarah that you should re-evaluate your method

Shouldn’t this be evidence that you ARE keeping up with life?
The fact that you aren’t spending life in front of your computer?

Sometimes I feel like email is burdening. I have 52 unread emails but most of them are either skippable or ya, the ones that I want to get back to later. But ya, replying to emails can take over my life sometimes.
